When the balance of the traditional cantilever tail lift is made up, this type of lift really excels due to its large platform dimensions and luxurious working space, its ease and speed to put in operation, and the additional load restraint and anti-theft protection it offers behind the vehicle body.
On the other hand, its position behind the vehicle body is sometimes experienced to be problematic or hindering, in cases where frequent access to the load space is needed, without really having to use the lift. (e.g. delivery of small packages).
Dhollandia has alternatives in the product range, under the form of half width or partial width platforms.
|
Although these platforms provide the user with a free and fast access to the vehicle loading space, they offer only limited manoeuvring space for pallet trucks and larger loads.
The new VARIOLIFT platform offers the operator the best of both worlds: this lift is equipped with a vertically folding platform, that can be closed in stow position as half width platform, or as standard full-width platform according to the OPERATOR’S CHOICE.
If no lift platform is needed at the next load- or delivery point, you just close the platform in stow position in half width set-up, and keep the access to the loading space of the vehicle completely free. If there is pallets or larger objects to load / unload at the next station, you can unfold the platform to a full width surface, and stow it as such.
In both cases, unnecessary handling can be avoided at the next load - or delivery point, resulting in significant time gains, and allowing to optimize the distribution routine.
