1st NAS/PIEK certificate for DH-SKS ultra low noise lift

The pressure for a shift of distribution and logistics activities to the night hours is strongly on the increase [road congestion, CO2 and particulate emissions, flexible opening hours for shops, express deliveries, …]. To address these urban problems, and at the same time protect the public interest, the “Noise Abatement Society” (NAS) has initiated a silent approach for night time deliveries, so that quit, smooth and efficient deliveries can become accepted as normal practice.

DHOLLANDIA’s ultra low noise lift DH-SKS was officially tested in march 2008, and has won the 1st NAS/PIEK Quiet Delivery Certificate for tail lifts at the occasion of the recent Commercial Vehicle Show [CVS Birmingham April 2008]. The noise level produced by this lift stays under an overall level of 60 dB. It incorporates:

· a silent power pack,
· a sound deadening platform coating,
· a high degree of automation of lift functions normally operated by hand, ruling out human goodwill to keep the lift silent
· intelligent interlocks preventing misuse and damage of these automatic functions.
