Automatic bridge plate for cantilever lifts |

Every now and again, questions are repeated how to fit cantilever lifts in case of rear doors, with locking mechanisms protruding the rear cross member of the loading floor.
We wish to remind our dear body builders of the most common fitting solutions
1- The use of an automatic bridge plate option S280 mounted to the lift arms and / or platform. [See image above, and below left]. In work position – on the one hand – this bridge plate brings the platform flush with the loading floor of the vehicle, so that the operator can load / unload in all comfort. In stow position – on the other hand - it creates the necessary distance between the closed platform and the rear vehicle doors, to allow for the locking mechanisms. Additionally, when lifting off the ground, it forms a perfect toe-guard, protecting the toes & feet of the operator on the platform.
|
2- The second option is to extend the loading floor itself by means of a fabricated profile, that incorporates the necessary cut-out slots for the door locking mechanisms. [See image below right]. Regarding loading / unloading comfort, this solution is equivalent to the 1st, but the latter doesn’t offer the additional protection of the articulated toe-guard on the platform.
Other options are available, but fairly rare. If you would require further information on this topic, please don’t hesitate to contact your local Dhollandia dealer.
